An independent film make as painstakingly put together an extraordinary ultra high definition film of Saturn's Rings from over a million NASA photographs taken by the Cassini spacecraft.
A sample pre-release of the 4K-resolution film has just been released, and can be viewed here.
The Cassini spacecraft is currently in orbit around Saturn and continues to provide images and scientific data about Saturn and its moon.
The spacecraft was launched in 1997, and reach Saturn in 2004. The current mission plan is to perform and end-of-life decent into Saturn in 2017.
